Youth Empowerment Association opens a call for 5 young people for the youth exchange “Active for Europe” taking place in Varna, Bulgaria from 3rd to 12th of June 2019.
“Active for Europe” is an 8-day Youth Exchange voyage to increase the level of active participation of youngsters in the life of their community through service learning & volunteering. The project will create the space for participants to reflect on their active participation in the life of their communities & how service learning & volunteering could offer those opportunities to become active citizens.
Main focus of this YE are:
– European identity – participants will get a better understanding of the decision-making process within the European Union while also being confronted with many additional factors and challenges. Participants will simultaneous be a political figure & an actor.
– Self-development – bringing awareness to each other; communication beyond verbal language; going deeper into self-awareness; gaining more confidence; exploring emotional awareness; identifying patterns of thinking, feeling, reacting & working.
– Service Learning – participants will be exploring the concept of volunteering, sharing ideas about volunteering, what is everyone’s experience, legislation, opportunities. Participants will explore the concept of active participation, methods to be active, empowerment, simulation games, debates, table top games.
All expenses during the project are covered by the Erasmus+ programme (accommodation, food). Travel costs will be reimbursed up to 180€.
